Our Spiders of Good Fortune are designed and created by Pam Pickering.
The lampwork bead body is created by Don Hohensee.
There are 16 Swarovski™ crystals all around on the legs so when they hang in a sunny window they sparkle and shine.
The Spider of Good Fortune comes with a suction cup, instructions on the "The Care and Feeding of Your Spider" and two of our favorite spiders stories, "The King and the Cave Spider" and "The Legend of the Christmas Spider", all in a pretty purple box.
Our hand-assembled Spiders of Good Fortune are approximately 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" and we can make them in every imaginable color and pattern. Just let us know what your favorite color combinations are, and we'll make it for you.
Don can reproduce many of his beads, so ask if you want more of the same. No two beads can ever match, but some, like his tiger and leopard beads, can be reproduced nicely. There are some free-form (without a
pattern) beads that can't be reproduced easily.
Since we also have a physical store in Houston, Texas, a Spider of Good Fortune for sale on-line could already be sold at the store. We attempt to update our website on a regular basis, but sometimes we just aren't fast enough. If this is the case, we will let you know that the Spider has been sold, and ask if you want Don to make another. If so, he will send a picture of the new Spider for approval. Depending on glass and crystal availability, it could take from one to 30 days. He will always give a lead time.
