When the morning or afternoon sun hits these transparent (and sometimes opaque) glass chunks, they throw off beautiful and rich glowing colors and surprising luminescence. Pam creates outdoor totems (which stand on their own) and imaginative hangings for your garden.
Pam notes, "I call my hangings "Tree Rocks" because they might be glass but they look and feel like chunks of rock. "Rocks" you can hang in your trees. I also use Don's lampwork beads, other crystal and glass, pieces of stained glass, and beads made from practically anything."
The wire is stainless steel so it won't turn color over time. Her totems may be made from either copper tubing or rebar.
What is Slag Glass? Slag glass is the hot, molten glass that is cast off after a batch of molds are poured to make such things as glassware and vases. Some slag glass is reused to make other glassware. "Raw" slag, such as you see here, is sold as-is to collectors, artists, & businesses.
