About Bead Making

Don Hohensee is a self-taught glass artist living in Houston, Texas. He has created masterful glass art for over four years and has honed his craft through the evolution of his art.

• The Italian glass comes in colored sticks.

• Don melts the glass stick onto a stainless steel mandrel using an oxygen/propate torch. Each color is applied seperately.

• In the photograph he is making a fish bead.

• After the bead is completed he puts it in a kiln to anneal the bead.
